More news flashes from the forefront (or occasional backside?) of marketing, media and meme-building!

- Looking to run a Pinterest-style promotion but the target demographic is too young? Check out this Mashable article about a pintrest style app called We Heart It. Apparently, it’s really popular among teens. Some of the kids I mentor have been posting screenshots of their profiles and posting them to Instagram — I downloaded it this morning and I’ll you know how it works out in a future post!
- Our own Lacie Potts found a really awesome AXE commercial that seems to show the brand going in a whole new direction. That or they’ve got a truly cheesy sense of humor.
- This video has been trending for the past few days!
- And here’s a baby of a whole different kind. This prank puts the cray in “experiential” — I mean, if the word experiential required the word “cray” (but I digress): another recommendation from Lacie that left me laughing yesterday. Might leave you cringing, though.
- Barbie’s got — or had — a plastic surgery app… I’m left wondering what marketing or web development team thought this was a good idea?
- Have you heard of Lebroning? All the cool kids are doing it… and Friday, January 17 at 4:30 p.m., we’ll get on the meme train ourselves here at the office and be “Lebroning” for the TRG blog and Facebook. Check back with us to check it out!
