The Top 5 Reasons I am Grateful This Year as a Woman CEO:

Thanksgiving is more than just a day that friends and family gather around a table of turkey, stuffing, and mash potatoes—It’s also a day to reflect and to consider all of the things that you are thankful for. 2016 has been quite a tumultuous year, full of plenty of unexpected twists and turns. Amidst all of the day-to-day responsibilities and chaos, we can all lose sight at times, of the things that we are grateful for. This year, as I sat amongst my friends and family, I could not help but feel a sense of bliss and gratitude for all of my life’s blessings. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the top five reasons I am grateful this year as a woman CEO:

1. The opportunity to work with amazing and smart clients, partners, and employees who all challenge my thinking, inspire me creatively, and make me laugh.
When you’re surrounded by people that not only motivate you, but also make you excited to come to work every day, work does not feel like work. I am thankful to have such incredible people in my life.

2. A bank who believes in our vision and is always with us as we grow and go where the market needs us!
Everyone needs someone who believes in them. Having a bank who supports our vision is one of the primary reasons we get to do what we do at TRG, and for that I am so grateful.

3. My husband, who is an incredible partner and father.
Three years ago, my husband survived a double brain aneurysm. He has been on a long road to recovery, but I am thankful every day that he is by my side and able to watch our children grow and learn.

4. My kids are healthy, smart, funny and so full of love.
There is nothing that brings a smile to my face quite like my three children. Whether I am reading them bedtime stories each night or hearing their little voices sing along to the radio in their car seats, I cherish and am thankful for every moment I get to spend with them.

5. I have a network of girlfriends who understand me and are there for me no matter what.
Friends are the family you choose. My friends have helped and supported me through all of my life’s obstacles and without them I do not know where I would be today. I am thankful for the laughs we have shared, the memories we have made, and the sense of family we have created.

There are so many reasons to be thankful. Every day I get to be a CEO, mom, wife, sister, and friend. This holiday has reminded me that no matter how hectic or overwhelming life can get, taking a quick moment to pause and appreciate where I am in my life and how far I have come on my journey is no moment wasted. It is a moment of gratitude to cherish.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
